Do you stand out? What are you doing that shows people you are different? Why are you interesting?

This is important considering the job market and economic challenges that we are experiencing. Rick Wagoner didn’t “stand out”, so he was thrown out. Only the best and brightest stand out. Pixar and Disney stand out. So does Dreamworks. Does your business stand out?

Googie-styled (populuxe) and post-modern roadside architecture stands out. Why? Because it’s different. One of the smallest cars on the road, the Mini Cooper, stands out not because of its size, but because what it represents; innovation, forward-thinking. The Hummer stood out in a negative way. Now the Hummer doesn’t stand out and is in the process of being thrown out just like Wagoner. Think about the things you do everyday and ask yourself: is this going to make me stand out? Is it positive?
